airline callsigns

In selected aircraft i am unable to use the airline callsign. In the aircraft cfg. are the airline names ok. Atc now calls me with aircraft manufacture name and tailnumber. What is wrong ? Use to fly KLM Boeing 737. Callsign was KLM257, now it is Boeing PHBPD. Like to go back to the old situation....but how.
Aircraft generated by FS9 use correct company call signs. All aircrafts in mode change callsign, the companyname is blank - all of them. Maybe a file is missing. FS9 is unable to read the aircraft.cfg correct. In all aircraft.cfg the companyname is correct. 3 weeks ago after cleaning my aircraft folder it went wrong.

You can try downloading EDITVOICEPACK and that will add a lot of call signs I use a small little program called FSACC that allows you to check every airplane in your fleet it tells you what ATC aill call each craft and will let you known if the callsign is unknown it is a handy little tool I beleive I downloaded it from AVSIM but I am not 100% sure as I have had it for a while. 8-) The nice thing about EDITVOICEPACK is it will give yo new terminolgy and you will hear things like Thanks for the help and goodbye and a few other sayings you do not get without editvoicepack. 8-)

Welcome to the forums.

EditVoicePack is a great program, but I don't think you need it for the problem you stated.

In the aircraft.cfg file, be sure there are the following lines:

atc_airline=KLM
atc_flight_number=257

If those lines already exist, then copy that section of the aircraft.cfg and include it in your next post.  We can then look it over and determine the problem.

Gary's response about EditVoicePack is right on if you have a bunch of older or less popular airline names that aren't included in FS.

Let us know if any of this helped.

JerryH
