Actually...
I have FSX, FS2004, FS98, CFS, CFS3, Flyboys, B-17 The Mighty 8th, and about 4 other flight type games that run just fine with Vista installed on my PC. I don't have a monster pc by any means which you can see below.
Now just don't ask me what's going to happen after DX10 comes out, though I suspect it won't be nearly as bad as everyone says. Everyone was freaking out about FSX not running at all before they released it. To my surprise, my outdated pc runs it fairly well with a few sacrifices in the water textures, and autogen.
My ONLY issue to date with what was on my pc when I put on Vista on was my sound card, whick Vista pointed out to me and asked if I wanted it to search for new drivers. My bad, also I finally hooked up a printer to my pc on sunday and the drivers that came on the disk don't work with Vista. I just went to HP's site and downloaded the Vista version and that was solved as well.

Well, i've heard about people (like the dude above) who runs FS9 fine on vista. But in my case, it is EXTREMELY glitchy. ADD-ons like FlyTampa and other airports have large blue drive-through walls or cubes, And when i use PMDG NG, FS randomly simply shuts down. That might have something to do with FSpassengers though, not sure. But, the game runs smooth on my 7800GTX, even on nvidias crappy drivers.

I don't really have a lot as far as payware scenery, maybe that's where the problem comes in. I do have FS Passenger installed but, I haven't used it yet since switching to Vista. I do have 4 payware aircraft and some payware scenery for Sky Harbor in Phoenix. Had a payware for Sky Harbor before when I had XP though and it had some hidden holes in 1 one the taxi ways.
Don't get me wrong, If I max everything out FS9 it's still jittery, but I chock that up to my relative slow processor. FSX runs pretty good. I have it locked at 20 FPS, and traffic at low levels along with water textures and autogen.

Holes in the taxiway? hehe. Did your aircraft suddenly just fall through? anyways, may I ask which payware company has Sky Harbor? if it's any good, i would love to give it a try.

Yup, that's exactly what they did. I think it was the taxiway to 25L. Soon as I got close to the runway...BAM! the aircraft would just drop through to what I assume was a conflicting terrain map that I didn't flatten correctly.
The scenery foe Sky Harbor was made by some guy who lives in the area who wanted a better Sky Harbor. It has the U of Phx statdium right across fron the 101 just about completed with a couple of cranes still on it. I got the first one on Sim Market.
This is the first one I had installed:http://secure.simmarket.com/product_info.php?products_id=849
And this is the one I have now:http://www.megascenery.com/megacityphx.htm

PS I forgot to mention the second link also has an FSX version.

Thanks! Didn't know megascenery had the phoenix scenery. does that include the airport?
And if you have problems with blurries using megascenery, you should try a program called SystemBooster XP. I think it also works with Vista. I never saw a blurrie since i started using it.

Cool, thanx for the tip. The airport is pretty cool. Lots of spaces on both sides of the airport. A lot of static birds all over.
