I posted a while back about not being able to load the cab files into my new Vista machine.. well, I tried to reload FS2004 to my old computer (XP) and it also tells me that it cannot load the world cab files...???!!!??!!?!?!?! :P

How does and can a disk go "bad"?

Is the CD scratched or dirty? Have you tried cleaning it??  Even it looks clean there may be a grease mark that is defracting the laser.  Try a baby wipe or face wipe then dry with a piece of soft tissue.  If it's scratched then you may have to borrow another disk

Well, its been pretty rough, but its not THAT bad as to never being able to run or play... I guess now that the prices are falling on the fs9, I can ick up another. I now have the no cd patches for everything (Yeah, I know.. I depriving Bill Gates or someone of their hard earned cash) and can play without dragging all the discs all over, it may just work. :P

Would it be legal for someone to get their file and email it to you or something instead of buying a new disk?
