I don't check payloads or fuel before flying, having assumed that aircraft start out at a proper flying weight.
I'm checking the ones that are sluggish on takeoff & have discovered this 'overweight' phenomenon.   Is there a reason for some aircraft to be overweight & can it be fixed ?

Simply just take off with less fuel or payload.

I mentioned this problem in another thread.

I also put away some fuel before take off.

By default all planes are delivered with all tanks full at 100%.

The problem only occurs during domestic flights within the United States...

...apparently it's something to do with McDonald's, Beefburgers, Fast food, and Obesity... ...!

The rest of the World is quite thin, and aircraft, passenger-weight friendly... ...!

Its because the maximum cargo and maximum fuel exceed the MTOW.

Are you serious??    The question is - WHY does fs9 load some aircraft over MTOW?    

Maximum Take-Off Weight.

Before each flight I pull down the "Drop-Down" Menu: Fuel and Payload.

Insert my correct weight! Dump off any unnecessary passengers, and take on just enough fuel to get me safely to my destination, being aware of any possible detours because of bad weather, etc... ...!

That way, I achieve my best flying performance, (especially during Multiplayer flights)... ...!

MTOW = MTOW is an understood equation.  My question is: Does anyone know why FS9 loads aircraft overweight?    If the cfg has the weight of the aircraft.......?

Maybe they inserted it to test your skills as a vigilant pilot. Congratulations, you've passed.  ;)
