Can someone teach me how to land when you are running only with one engine in the 747??

So far as I know, a 747 can't make a save landing with only one engine. two is possible.

What the... ...ever happened to off 3 of your plane's engines???

Did you by any chance get yourself inside a cloud of ashes generated by a volcanic eruption? I know it happened IRL to a 747 and it remained with only one engine running, but putting aside the fact that in FS there are no eruptions nor cloud of volcanic ashes, why would you want to learn to do such a thing?

Anyway, seen that the plane you'll try landing in such a dire straits is a virtual one, you can always take off with a 747, bring yourself on the general vicinities of a suitable airport (not too far away, because a 747 running on one engine is pretty much a very heavy glider), shut off three of the 4 engines, put the sim on pause, save the flight and then try to land. If you don't succeed, seen that you saved the flight you can start all over again easily.

Best advice is low-power, trim her for straight flight as best you can and THEN get religion
Dead sticks are not practiced by many simmers or real pilots but I'm keen on them. Excellent practice comes from using gliders (sailplanes) however as they don't have engines. You soon get the hang of it

I'm guessing that you'll be looking at using your rudder trim controls?

The performance will be different based on whether it is an inboard or outboard that is still operating.  Try it with inboard first  ;).

Actually... try it wilth ALL engines off and lined up on short final (but be high to start with)....that actually might be easier than with asymetrical thrust issues.

Make sure that you life insurance is paid up!
