Cloning my FS Installation?

Hi all.  I'd like to clone my FS9 Installation from my desktop to my laptop.  I have software to manage the actual cloning operation, but I have to know where everything I need is.  So far, here's what I have

c:\Program Files\Various FS Folders
c:\Docs & SettingsOwner\Application Data\Microsoft\FS9\FS9.cfg
Any others?  How do I duplicate the registry entries for the stuff I paid for?

The reason I'm asking this, is that the last time I had to restore all my stuff on my laptop, the online re-registration was a nightmare.  I'd like to avoid all that again, if possible...

Thanks for any help you can give...

The only way to save the registry entries for net registering payware is to try and find the keys and then make .REG files that write the same keys on a new system.

Though there's the problem that not all the net registering payware content themselves on the sole registry entry editing. Some payware online registering (like for example the SAAB Safire) changes a .DLL file of the very same add-on so it can be used only on the computer it was installed on.

In short, trying to keep up with payware anti-piracy nowadays is the damnedest thing, even if you're doing it on the bright side of the law, because you bought the damn software and deserve to use it. And seen how successful is this anti-piracy (read: no success whatsoever) there could be only one reason they continue doing it. Like lemmings towards their doom, they don't question how big is really the patience of those who pay for their software, and like said lemmings they will find themselves drowning in their short-sighted choices, one day. ::)

For your sake I hope you know what you are doing when it comes to registery entries. You could be carrying a lit match into a room filled with high explosives. I not even sure if the registeries entries would be same laptop versus tower it might make a differance and than again it might not. Why in gods earth dont you just install it on your lap top and be done with it. Ever hear of the K.I.S.S. method
you know KEEP IT SIMPLE STUPID. NO OFFENSE MENT. 8-)

Namely because I just got my laptop back from the shop and was hoping to avoid spending weeks trying to fight for a new registration key like last time.....  I think I won't buy any more software from those people, my patience with their restrictions is just about at an end.  FLIGHT 1 ARE YOU LISTENING???  Probably not.
