I had this problem of fs9 running out of memory or HD-space lately, see
http://www.simviation.com/cgi-bin/yabb2 ... 1164471547

As you see, I was able to solve it.

Today I got the Brunei Darresalam Int Airport from A***m, (wbsb_apt02.zip), and it happened again!!! I deleted the entry from my addon scenery folde, edited the scenery.cfg by deleting the entry for this scenery, still no result. I checked which folders or files have been changed today, this didnt help. I deleted the fs9.cfg, no result.

Now I desperately need your help! Otherwise I wont be able to contribute a NewYearShot!

I got that error too...Try increasing your Page File size...Change it to the one where the system manages the size...I only got it once and ever since, I never get it... ;)

I would have to agree with Ashar... this happened to me once. to fix it you have to right click on the My Computer Icon, go down to properties, click on advanced in the menu that opens, and click Settings under preformance, click Advanced in the menu that comes up, under virtual memory click Change, in the menu that appears incress the intial and maximum sizes. that should fix it.t did for me. good luck!

There's an option that allows the OS to establish how much virtual memory it need and take it. Try and select that option and see how it works.

A question: is your FS9 patched/updated to 9.1? If not, remedy ASAP.

Did that, did not solve the problem.

Yes, patched.

Omg, this is a hard one...

Did you add some sort of add-on before this mess started?

I meant beside this one. ;)

Anyway, I read in the instruction that one of the two contained zip files has to be drop-opened in the FS9 folder overwriting what's already there. If you did this, unzip said file in a dummy folder, track the files that were overwritten end replace them with the originals from the installation disk(s).

Try this and let us know how it goes.

Thats a good hint but I already tried that and let me tell you its a big PITA because I had to manually track down the bgls and replace them one-by-one (the number was 157 or so). Anyway, didnt help. Maybe I made an error and forgot one.

I finally got fed up and replaced the complete asia/scenery folder with the default one from CD4.

and...

it worked!!!

Problem solved!!!

Thank you for your support!

Well, if replacing all the Asia folder helped it's obvious that you missed at least one file. Among hundreds of them, it's easy to get confused. ;)

Don't know you, but I am a little leery of those sceneries, planes or whatever that ask you to overwrite everything indiscriminately during installation without giving you the option to make a backup of the overwritten files. Not so different from autoinstallers, I prefer to steer clear of them. :-/
