Missing gauge.

I've just installed Fransico Silva's MD11 panel but the screen that should show the compass is blank.
The gauges folder contains 2 items - a cab file 'boeing737..' and a folder 'PAPMD11_v2'.....this 2nd folder contains 47 files & 2 folders named 1042 & 640. I copied & pasted the contents of the gauges folder as
described (cab file & folder) but I am wondering if I have done the right thing? Should I have copied & pasted the contents of the PAPMD11_v2 folder, or what? There are no installation hints with this panel so I did what I usually do when installing a panel, usually with satisfactory results! I'd appreciate help to find out what I have done wrong :-[
Thanks,
TW

Think I found it.
http://www.simviation.com/fs2004panels27.htmThe Panel.cfg is a bit of a mess & there seems to be a gauge missing. The one you want is this one.
gauge01=
Boeing737_800!MFD,445,483,173,160
The gauge will be named Boeing737_800.gau, Boeing737_800.cab or an ordinary folder named Boeing737_800
I have no way of knowing which type it is. It might be an idea to contact the author.

You beat me to it Hagar, but that's the one. I've just checked it out again I'm a novice at all this so I wouldn't know a tidy cfg from a messy one, I'm afraid :-[ BUT- thanks for checking it out for me.
I will email Mr Silva but I won't hold my breath at getting a reply. I've send complimentary emails to authors & a couple of queiries too, & have never had a reply except from Mike Stone when I thanked him for his Lancer, which I've since customised. I'll report back if I get a reply about the missing gauge. Thanks again,
TW

I found the elusive gauge (boeing737-800.cab) in the FS2004 Boeing 737 NG Panel V1.0. posted here.
http://www.simviation.com/fs2004panels23.htmThe package also includes instructions on how to use it.

Thanks for that link Hagar. A quiet 5 minutes so I now have the GP737NG panel & I see in the gauges folder there is a boening 737-800 cab. I assume you mean me to put in my fs9 gauges file so the Silva panel's compass gauge will show?

Mmmmm. I put that boeing737-800 cab file into the MD11 panel folder (that's a new trick!!) but that window in still blank!!! I then put it into the gauges folder with the same result............

Do I hear the swish of closing veils I wonder?

You have to switch the MFD on. Did you read the instructions with that Boeing 737 NG panel? It's no use asking me as I have no idea how it works.

Hi - yes I did read the instructions & went to the Manual like the readme directed. The trouble is it's in pale yellow which doesn't show up well on a white background. However, all the Manual illustrations are missing for indwx/main/over/ped/radio & my web browser couldn't find the files - I kept getting File Not Found when I clicked them. As it stands the Manual is useless.
Thank you your help & I'm sorry that in spite of it I am unable to get the wretched thing to work. I'll trawl the files for a simpler MD11 panel & use one that works!!

Thanks - you're a brick.
The JPEGs work OK so I'll print your list out to tie things up with the panel tomorrow.
I'm grateful to you.

You're welcome. Just a thought. You need to extract the zipfile for the images to display in the manual. The text should display better too as it's on a black background image.
