I can't seem to get the needles to move even when I can hear the morse code beeps.

Thanks in advance,

Hi there,

well this is not really a VOR Tutorial. But a very good webbased VOR Simulator.
http://www.luizmonteiro.com/Learning_VOR_Sim.htm
This helped me a lot to understand how a VOR (and other instruments) work.

Paul...The Bendix-King Man.... 8-)...!

P.S. Obtain the VOR and NDB frequencies from the GPS Map (or whatever).....and remember, the station has to be within range before you can pick up the signal.... ;)...!

"I can't seem to get the needles to move"
Try using the OBS
Reference cited: FS9 Learning Center

P.S. Place the FS9-LC shortcut on your desktop

Many thanks folks. I've got it. Problem I had was that I was tuning into an MDE beacon (which I assume does not give out direction, only distance ??).

Not much about this in the Learning Centre.

Many thanks again !

Dave

"Not much about this in the Learning Centre."
Roger that . . . the FS Learning Center instructs one in what to do -- not in what NOT to do.
Thanks for reporting you were able to accomplish the latter without any assistance.
For further reading, make a profound study of the VOR Tracking article I wrote that was picked up by NASA.
