Not permanently..but just to enjoy some of the add-ons I loved on my old machine and it seems that for some programs, the game just is not recognized.

Has anyone had this problem with certain .exe file add-ons?

I had it installed for a while, but then my HD imposed me a draconian choice; to keep FSX I should have erased either FS9 or X-plane.

A choice that was no choice. FSX might be useful to me to review add-on in the next future (but I really need to address the need for better hardware with the boss first [not that better hardware as today we know it will make FSX go better. PC's of over 6000

..I'll be flying with FS9 for the foreseeable future...PC stats not good enough and not enough addons to make it interesting enough to get a better 'puter............commoner ;)

" . . .  after a few months of FSX" -- out west here we refer to this a hyperbole (hy-per-bo-lee)
FSX has only been out for one-month-and-twenty-seven-days (October 6th to December 3rd).

But, you make your point: I too have gone back to FS9 after getting tired of waiting three-minutes for FSX to load; two-minutes to load another aircraft; two-minutes to change location and another two-minutes to change from day-to-night.

Life's too short.

I'm sticking with FS9 for now.  I ran the FSX demo and my computer's not powerfull enough to run FSX the way I would want to, and my current computer is not obsolete enough to justify a new computer.  So for now, I'm sticking with FS9.

I re-installed FS9, and am still tweaking that to get my old framerates back... and the new computer is still not up and running yet...but I'll hold off on FSX for awhile; got enough sim frustration right now!  ;D

I suspect this was caused when you uninstalled FSX. I seem to remember someone posting a little program to fix corrupt registry entries. No promises but if I find it I'll post a link here.

Yikes!  Uninstalling FSX corrupts the registry?   :o

That's an unacceptable bug!  I'm definately hold off!

your grasp of english is better than some native english speakers!

to help with the frames it would be better to get a newer video card rather than processor.
