Spot View Qs...

Postby rootbeer » Sat Nov 18, 2006 1:25 am

How do I get away from the floaty, swimmy spot view? I had it sharp and crisp until I went and fooled around with a default airplane that I never fly, then it went all swoozy on me. How do I get the sharp movement back?

And why, when I am in speed-up mode, can the spot view never catch up to the airplane when I'm in 4X, 8X and 16X modes? This bugs me...

LOL.. Im not aware of anyway to get the spot view to catch up in x8, x16, x32 as I have that problem too  :'(

As to the 'sharper' movement. Go into Views > View Settings > (if its not already on it) Spot > Uncheck Gradual transition...

Hope that helps!

Thanks! I wonder how I got it to be sharp and precise in the first place and I have no memory of changing it. I suppose you'd have to actually click something to change it, correct?

Its one of those things where unless you save it as your default flight you have to change it again and again! i've found out recently that if you go on a mission it's not saved as that, so maybe you have changed your default flight recently?

Glad it worked!  ;D

Where do I find Views and View Settings? I can find Settings where I choose an airplane to crash, but I do not see Views or View Settings in any of the places where I can set parameters for how I want the sim to function. Help again, please!

View setting has to be accessed by pressing alt in flight. Then going to views  ;)

OK; I get it. The same place you click to slow down or speed up the sim. I'm familiar with that...

Thanks again!
