I just downloaded this new jet because i thought it would be fun toblast around at mach 4 or 5 and then land vertically. i can't get it to work though because whenever i try to lower the flaps an error message pops up saying "creation failed- sound file not available" has anyone downloaded this and had the same problem?

Probably FSSound.dll. If I'm correct the file should have been included in the package & it lives in the FS9\Modules folder. You will need to add this line to fs9.cfg.
[OLDMODULES]
FSSound.dll=1
It could be a different module named GaugeSound.dll
This lives in the FS9 root directory folder.

I found the problem, i for some reason didn't put some of the sound files in the sound folder, and this caused the sim to shut down. the package is weird in that you have to put files in the main sound folder while others are in the aircraft's sound file with the cfg. problem solved

No, it's not my sort of plane.

If the file was smaller I would have checked it out for you.

I know what you mean, i had to go flying while it was downloading

The worst part is the fact that you pull 5 g's by gently pulling on the stick at full speed, redouts everywhere. can't wait to see how many g's i can pull with it in fsx

You know, this module always gives me trouble, and I never use anything that needs it now. I've modified the cfg file, [OLDMODULES]
FSSound.dll=1
but still it causes FS9 to crash.
I just gave up on this thing.

fm3 it is the sound files, not just fssound that causes it to crash. there are 2 sets of sound(wav) files, one that goes into the main sound folder and one that stays in the aircraft folder
