Undock

Hello All

Can anyone tell me how to UNDOCK a panel within FS9.
I have just started using multi screens (only 2 at the moment) and would like to place the overhead panel into an overhead screen. When I right click on a panel the window says Undock screen but it is greyed out and cannot be opened.
Any help would be appreciated.
I am an old simmer, but new to the forum.
Many thanks

Mike ???

Hi Mike. Not sure what you want to do. The Undock Window option seems to work only from Windows mode (Alt + Enter). However, you can open as many extra view windows as you wish with the [ key command.

Thanks for prompt reply.  I like to fly the 777 pro version
I can drag a panel by holding down the mouse key but it won't transfer to the overhead screen. I read somwhere about this Undock thing but i cannot figure out how to remove the grey area to make it work.
I can, as you say open all the panels by using the tool to do it, but cannot get them into the other screen.

I think you'll need to open the screen in Windowed mode ...... then drag it across ..... after that you should be able to return to full screen mode with the panel docked on the second screen.

Mike, I'm not the best person to give advice on this. I think you might have more luck in the Homebuild Cockpits forum. Lots of clever people here. http://www.simviation.com/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.cgi?board=homebuild

PS. Try Eno's suggestion.

FSUIPC has an option to lock the window or something...That's for the registered version only though...Don't know which you have ;)

Undocking a panel or screen is generally used to move said panel or screen to a second monitor (I have my radio panel and GPS on a second monitor) To undock a panel, you must be in windows mode (Alt + Enter)
Once you have done that you can right click on the panel in question and then undock it. This will enable you to then drag that undocked window to another monitor. When you have finished, go back to full screen mode, you can then move and resize the panels that you have undocked.

Hope that helps

Matt
