Aircraft Texture display problem

Postby FS_Pilot » Fri Oct 27, 2006 1:34 pm

In the last couple of weeks the aircraft textures seem to take forever to display correctly. I have recently upgraded my video card frrom a FX5500 to a 7600GS but it has made no difference. When i go from panel view to spot view it seems to take over a minute or more for the aircraft textures to display all i get is a grey model with black disks for props or rotors. I am getting a constant frame rate of between 20 & 22 FPS (Locked at 22 fps) the scenery textures seem ok it is just the aircraft textures that are causing problems. Any ideas please?

This kind of problem, when happens, is invariably a Charlie-Foxtrot. ::)

Seen that you already changed video card with no betterment, try and look for CPU time and memory stealing background processes (try using FSautostart, even at its default settings it disables a lot of useless processes). Remember to defrag the PC often (at least once every month). If you have a AGP PC ensure you have the AGP drivers of you motherboard installed and working (try reinstalling it and then reinstall the videocard drivers).

Eventually let us know if these suggestions worked.
