Seaplane places...

Where are the landing/take-off places for seaplanes, like the Boeing 314 Clipper? I have found they do not do so well if attempting to take-off from concrete. The engines just lack the power to drag them down the runway...

In FS2002 there is a list that can be printed, but i can't seem to find one in 04. There are lots of floatplane scenerys available on this site and others which have water starting points. Also try some small airports in Alaska, some should have docks.

There is a website that lists all the seaplane bases in FS9...I forget what it is called... ;)

I've noticed that a small anchor symbol is sometimes shown on the GPS screen on lakes when flying in Alaska, but there doesn't appear to be anything special about the scenery. No docks etc.
Would have been nice though ;D

Can't find a national or international list. But here's one for Washington State. It's a 'real world' list but I would guess most could be found in FS9.

I sorted this by staring at a runway near water then in Map, dragging the aircraft to the nearest water.  Remember to apply 0 in Altitude & you're away.  It works for me & I fly from all sorts of waterways !!
