Texture Transfer?

Postby Tchkinjiu » Tue Oct 24, 2006 12:47 am

Just curious, I'm thinking about coming back to FS9 since FSX is a little too much at the moment for my comp.  But is there a way, perhaps, to transfer the runway texture from 10 to 9? I'm a fan of it over the FS9 version  ;D

I don't have FSX so i don't know what texture format it uses. However, i once used FS2002 building textures for CFS1 by copy and pasting to 8 bit 256x256 bmp's in PSP 7. Name them the same as the origionals, back up the origionals and replace them in the main texture folder.

You should be able to copy the textures across. Just rename the old ones just in case (don't delete them) ;)

..mm...maybe not so easy just one of the files shown here rwy23.bmp ......the FSX files would need to be resized I guess. Some open in Photoshop but others need DXTbmp Fiddly but possible...........commoner ;)
