Major DirectX issue.

Well, I've discovered the world of online flying. Went and bought a new headset and everything for it.

I go run Squawkbox...the program that connects me...and it says it can't start. Ok...no biggy. I diagnose the problem, a couple DirectX things are missing or something. So I go to download the latest version. And this is where my major problem is.

I can't for the life of me...run the setup. I get so far, and it tells me it can't trust a cabinet file. The exact message was this:

"A cabinet file necessary for installation cannot be trusted. Please verify the cryptographic services are enabled and the cabinet file certificate is valid"

Now how the heck do I do that?

There's no way around it either. I have got to figure this out.

From where did you download the DX file and what version? It might be a corrupt download file
Is your video card capable of supporting the version you are trying to download?

From the Microsoft website...that didn't work, I tried getting a copy from Ares, and I tried getting a copy from uh...softwarepatch.com or something like that.

Each and every one of them gave me the exact same error.

I tried it on my laptop and it worked perfectly fine...is it possible an anti-spyware or anti-virus program is giving me the message? Hence the "can't be trusted".

And I do that how?

If I could figure out how to get my system to trust this cabinet file...I think I'd be set.
