Hi guys!
I have this porblem, i start flying and get a good frame rate say 18-23 fps, then about 10 mins into the flight it drops steadily to about 2 fps and the osund goes funny i hit pause and it fixes itself in about 60 seconds its back to 18-22. It keeps doing this every 10 mins. So annoying.
Afew people said this is a common problem and the game is trying to draw objects off the screen or something, supposedly its easy to fix. Help!

You're running out of memory resources. You need at least 512mb and a video card with a healthy chunk. Make sure you don't have any unnecessary progrmes running in the background before you start.
Check the configuration of your bios to ensure there are no conflicts or duplicated processes.

Talking about running short of memory....

I notice that if you have a peek at your hard drive light when the program slows down and freezes, if it is flickering, it means that the program is spooling data from the hard drive, instead of having it all available in the memory... :o...!

If that is happening, you definitely need some more system memory fitted!

Also....in the "Custom Weather" option, reduce the distance to 5-10 miles instead of infinity, (much more realistic!), this will stop the "draw into the far distance" and reduce the overall load on your system... ;D...!

Paul.... 8)...!

Sounds again like this might be the fs2004 autogen memory leak issue.  This was addressed in the fs2004 version 9.1 patch.  Download at the main Microsoft site if you haven't got it installed already.
