A quick view question....

Hey guys,

Using recorder, or some other tool, is it possible to have the camera at a stationary position, and do flybys and stuff, while having the camera stationary on the ground? I think that it would be fun to use, to get cool angels and stuff.

Thanks,

Rhys

Hey Peanut,

You can change the location of the tower by moving its marker on one of the map views (cant remember which one for sure). The when you select 'tower view' you can get a fly-by.

Happy buzzing

Well, I know, but I wasn't clear enough. I want a stationary view, but I don't want the view to follow the aircraft, more like manual panning around.

I hope this clears it up,

Rhys

That's exactly what Tower View does. At least, I thought it did.

No, I'm pretty sure tower view doesn't allow you to manually pan around.

No you can''t pan around. No need to as it does that automatically. I just tried it. Great fun. ;)

Well, I WANT to be able to pan around, I'm looking for something that will manually let me do that.

I've done that, but it doesn't stay stationary, it moves with the aircraft. WOW this is confusing.

Sounds like you need the Fly-By module, available here (http://www.simviation.com/fs2004utilities6.htm). This replaces the 'tower' view with a stationary fly-by view, or a static view on the ground so you can watch take-offs and landings from a fixed position.

;)

With recorder you can do it, just make sure its set to no autozoom and to not follow the aircraft at all.

I havent tried flyby, but I might give it a go at some point to see what its all about
