Polsky A340 gauges

I have downloaded and installed the Air France Posky A340.  Many gauges are missing.  For other aircraft I have downloaded I had to put gauge files in the gauge directory.  No gauges came with the A340 download.  How do I get the gauges?

Thanks.

ps.  I haven't been able to find an answer using search.  I must be doing something wrong, as this must have been asked before.

First things first not all freeware planes have there own panel with there own gauges. If you look in the panel folder of the A340 open up the panel cfg file chances are it is alised to another panel.
Some gauges come in a .CAB file and a lot of people take the gauges out of the cab file and place them in the gauge folder if you do this they will not work the entire folder must be placed in the gauge folder so FS can unzip them.  8)

Hi Timbo, welcome.

The Posky A340-300 uses the panel by Pasquale Rinaldi, although this is not immediately obvious in the README file as the panel itself isn't included in the download. You can however get it here: http://www.fs2000.org/panel2k/news.asp?id=801

I haven't got the Rinaldi panel (I use Ken Mitchell's) but I assume you might need to do a little editing of the panel.cfg to get the gauges to appear in both the 2D panel and in the VC.

Yes, Thanks Microlight!  BIG help.  For the most part it is working well.  I just need to look into a couple of things.  Main ones are:

-The speed readout tape doesn't show the speed in digital form, though the tape moves up and down.

-There is no needle or readout for the vertical speed indicator.  There seems to be the basis for the gauge next to the altitude tape.
