I am totally frustrated try to download panels and/or gauges which are "double zipped" (my terminology). In other words, I unzip the first file and find another zip within. Can anyone help using words understood by an old guy without a lot of computer expertise. In other words, use short words. Thanks to all.   Sully

I never knew why people configure files like this. I always unzip the files just where they are. Use the right-click Extract All option & follow the wizard.

PS. Make sure they are zipfiles & not XML gauges in CAB format.

If you didn't understand that give me an example so I can walk you through it. Tell me exactly where to download the file.

I also need to know which software you use to extract zipfiles. If you're using WinXP the onboard Compressed Folders software is all you should need.

Thanks Hagar - I am on the road this weekend with a laptop. At home I download with WindowsXP into a temp file, then into FS9. This is a Connie panel to go into an already downloaded freeware Connie A/C. Did I answer  correctly?  Sully

I have found the simple way with XP is to just double click
the zip and drag the contents to a temp folder.
Saves time and space.

While we're on the subject, don't ya just hate it when after downloading and unzipping they tell you that you got to download this and that from this site and that? By the time i get it all together, it's time for bed.  ;D
