One way to do this would be to unassign the / keystroke that is used to deploy the spoliers. Of course by doing this the / will not work for any aircraft that has spoilers. I am not sure if you can remove them from one plane with out havig to remodel the airplane. 8)

Depends on where the super spoilers are implemented...could be as simple
as editing the aircraft.cfg file. The other place thatr may need editing
would be the .air file and for that you would use AirEd.exe.

..mmm...should be simple enough.........I'd say look at the [airplane_geometry] section of the aircraft.cfg file and make the spoiler_limit = 0.0.............that'll  do it................commoner ;)

The idea of these 'super spoilers' is to simulate a deck landing. This was popular on naval types for years before Arrestor Cables was released making it redundant.

Download the update. The 'super spoilers' aren't part of the carrier landing procedure, so you can use them in flight. I think it's replaced with the parking brakes.

The super spoilers Hagar is referring to are found in the .air file. We used to use super spoilers in CFS1 for carrier landings. If you have AirEd, open the .air file and open "Flight Dynamics". Go to "Spoiler Drag=" and you can change this to the maximum for super spoilers or 0 to have no spoilers. "Spoiler Lift=" can also be Adjusted.

The SuperSpoilers are replaced with SuperBrakes in the update, and are much more realistic/fun.
