FS locks up on start up

hey guys,
  when i try to start up FS it locks up tight. the only way to exit it is to end the task through task manager. i have recently downloaded a apache heli and ran FS once flew around for a little bit then i tried to plug in my some mad catz pedals then exited out of FS and then i tried to restart FS and that is when it locked up tight. any idea why and what i can do about it? i have uninstalled FS a resinstalled it restored my comp to and earlier time....i have came to a dead end on this one. any suggestions?

YOU SHOULD NEVER PLUG OR UNPLUG ANY DIVICE WHILE THE COMPUTER IS RUNNING

If it's a USB device you have to plug it in with the computer running.

Plugging a usb device in while the computer is on will usually not cause any problem but it does depend upon on the device,  it is usually not recomended to unplug the device without first stopping it.
Thumb drives can be plugged in with out any problem. But I would not advise you to plug in devices such as peddles, mice, and other external devices that use the usb port with the system on. It is generally considered a safe practice. Why take a chance is the way I look at it. 8)

hey guys thanks for the help i had to delete all my FS files and now i start the long process of getting them all back. i also had to reinstall FS9
