Hi Brian. Don't know because I haven't installed it, but have you installed VOZ and if so does VOZ include an Editvoicepak update? Your ATC has obviously been 'anglicised' in the broadest possible sense - we don't use point over here, we say decimal - but we don't usually end up with 'Bye'

But maybe those darned Antipodeans do ...... :)

Thanks for the tip...turns out some USAF AI had recently been added (although manually, not using the auto-installer!),  and it did come with an FS editvoicepack mod. While the AI is great, it appears a a file called USEnglishBig.gvp within the main Sounds folder, was inadvertently affected.  Everything was restored by reinstalling the default file. Won't be pulling out any more hair (for now, anyway).

If you do ANY flying ANYWHERE other than USA you MUST use ICAO terminology when conversing with ATC. Your best bet is to download editvoicepack and do a full update for all regions. This will ensure that when you fly in America the terms you are familiar will still be used. But, elsewhere the ICAO terms MUST be used. That's real life I'm afraid!

It's the work of EditVoicePack...I love it...much better than the default sound...I've accelerated my voice files as well...makes it much better on approach to busy airports 8)

Thanks for the input about Editvoicepack.  I had installed it to add the USAF callsigns and did not know about updating it, nor about setting the acceleration mode (appears lack of updating was the problem in the first place).  Everything now works beautifully, it is a joy to fly around any region with that bit of added authenticity.
