Any variable in FS that controls humid?

Postby DeepSpace » Sun Mar 12, 2006 4:10 pm

Hi. I'd like to start working on a new effect.
Is there a variable that could be used in an XML gauge which will refer to humid in the air?
If no, would using the dew point variable be a good replacement? If yes, how do I refer do it in the XML gauge?

Thanks in advance.

The dew point should work OK. There's a demo flight in the default flights that lets you see the effect of higher dew point on the dynamic weather. When the temperature and dew point are close together you see more cloud formation and possiblity of fog.

I have no idea how you would use that variable in a guage but I would guess someone in the "Aircraft Design" forum might be able to help you out.

I'll be uploading a 'special edition' of the 737 Experience in a few days that will include 'intelligent' wingtip vortices that are controlled by an XML gauge, which react to environmental temperature and humidity - this may help you.
