Anyone else get screwed by the optica?

Download the optica with update and installed it, this appeared to cause fs2004 to crash on opening, have now deleted it (along with uninstalling fs2004) and still cannot get rid of the "aircraft initialisation faliure OPTICA" message. any ideas how to get rid of the message?

I just downloaded & installed the Optica to check it out. All works as advertised so if you installed it properly I don't know why you would have problems with it.
My only suggestion is to try deleting fs9.cfg.

I put all the files in the correct folders am now running 2002 till i figure it out

Did you try my suggestion? That should fix it unless you did something really unusual.
