Good Morning to all you Guys and Ladies,     I'm one of "THEM"  that turn-in after midnight and am always up before 0400 .         I have a 1/2 hour of wasted time while my PC runs my daily virus scan.

Is there some way I can get my PC to just  "TURN-ON " at a given time  such as 0330.  ?      Also it would be nice to have it  turn-off at a set time just in case i'm too busy to get back to it right away.

Also  [ ahem ]  to let it know that I am still in charge. ;D

     Appreciate your help.                                caveman

..Or reschedule your virus scan to a time during your day when the machine is normally idle....

..or set your scan to manual, starting it at your convenience....

...or leave it on, what's another 4 hours  :)

i know on my dell that if you go into the set up menu(F2 key when starting up) there is an option that allows you to set a time where you want the pc to start up (its called 'auto power on').  it allows you to set a time and whether you want it daily/weekly etc.  i dont think all pcs' have this option tho, as my packard bell does not (dont quote me on that, i havnt actually looked).  hpoe this helps,

Scott

Hey Guys,     Nice of you to take the time on my question.     I make no claims to "smart"  ;D        As you can see  I didn't even think of leaving the PC on - - - just habit of turning off things not in use.    Hey Scott - - -will check out that "autopower on".       [ Vavavoom   -   -   cool man ]
