Bell JetRanger

I've finally managed to land this helicopter but then i have another problem. If I shut off the engines i can never get it take off again when i restart the engine. Anyone know what to do?

Roger that . . . it's wierd Here's what I do:

It seems the problem is the wings (rotary wings) feather -- or at least have the effect of being feathered.

I set the sim to 4X (so things happen quicker) and increase the pitch using CTRL+F3 and CTRL+F4

For some reason, CTRL+F4 by itself will not get the job done. Try it.

P.S. As I recall, there was a helo landing lesson in one incarnation of FS where it was required to land with the wing feathered -- CTRL+F1

P.P.S.  I've flown FS helos since they were introduced in FS98 and am getting pretty good at it  :-)

P.S It works great now with the time compression and things.

During\after startup bring up the collective (shift+4 or collective SimIcon).

Check the twist grip throttle.

Yeah as in any helicopter you need to wait for the rpm to get up before you can takeoff
