Poles (no problems, just reflecting)

Anyone else notice how many questions about the poles have suddenly popped up in the last few weeks? It is as though either people are getting bored with the rest of the world provided in FS9, or people are panicking at the quickly approaching FSX and are scrambling to get the most out of FS9 until then. ;D

Maybe it's Festivus time. ;D ;)

Festivus.....just in case you're "out of the loop". ;)

The Festivus Pole: The Costanzas' tradition begins with an aluminium pole, which Frank praises for its "very high strength-to-weight ratio." During Festivus, the unadorned pole is displayed. The pole was chosen apparently in opposition to the commercialization of highly decorated Christmas trees, because it is "very low-maintenance," and also because the holiday's patron, Frank Costanza, "find[s] tinsel distracting."

I was reading Clive Cussler's "iceberg" which has a lot of Arctic travel in it, and I've never been to the poles in FS so thought I'd fly up there.

I was so disappointed when the plane as good as hit an invisible wall at 89:30N, but at least it gave me a chance to comfort Judy (my trusty co-pilot :D ).  I never knew the poles weren't modelled  - and hope they will be in FSX.  Wouldn't it be cool to land a Hercules or DC-6 at the South Polar Station?
