Hi yall  ;D

I add'it a center fuel tank to a Boeing 377 Stratocruiser.
I need to increas the max fuel weight, or do I need to increas the max_gross_weight in the aircraft cgf. I'm not sher wich of the numbers I need to work with. Well heres how the weight figers look in the aircraft cgf.

Thanks for any input on this mater.

I have to look further whhen i get home, but offhand, unless you decrease passenger/cargo weight and/or empty weight, if you just stick another fuel tank in there, your gross weight will just go up- probably over what the airplane can handle. And the Strat will barely climb at normal weights, let alone over gross. I know it was done in RL sometimes, but it didn't work well.
Why are you adding fuel to a 377? Going to the Moon?

In the real world you have max take off weight(MTOW) this can never be exceeded.
So if you add a fuel tank to any aircraft you will naturally add weight to the aircraft. So you need to make sure the extra weight does not exceed the MTOW.
 If you add a tank you might have to give up some weight for cargo/bags in order to keep the weight under MTOW.
If you adjust the cargo weights to offset the fuel weight then you will not have to adjust any thing else as the weights will not change so I would suggest you remove a little weight from each station to off set the weight of the fuel. Rember fuel weighs approx. 6lbs per gallon

I have done some work with this aircraft. One of the things that I did is to add a little more power so the aircraft would be able to handle the exter fuel. I would need figer out how much the exter fuel weights, and add that to the max_gross_weight Right ?
