Hard to let go...

...of FS2002. I've had FS9 for almost a year, and when I got it, I was SURE that I'd also go back to FS2002 occasionally for non-FS9-compatible planes etc.

But I haven't - the move to FS9 has been more or less complete. FS2002 is still on my hard drive though and I went back to the folder last night to copy across Jon Murchison's terrific 737NG AI set into FS9. So FS2002 still sits there occupying 12gB of hard disk space, and I don't have the heart to remove it...

Anybody else with the same thing?

;)

It took me AGES to transfer from my lovely FS2002 over to FS 2004, because of all the fantastic up-grades I had installed on it...!
...but...
After installing all my fantastic up-grades on to my FS 2004 I've finally got used to FS 2004... ;)... ;D...!

(I've still got FS '98, FS 2000, and FS 2002 still on my hard drive ready to try out anytime...)....
...it's called "Nostalgia".... ;D...!!!

Cheers all...!

Paul...Nostalgia means still playing your 1982 Sinclair Spectrum 48K computer... ;D...!

I was at one point a hater of FS9...but since my new GFX card, I made the switch...and who can blame me...I like the graphic quality alot better...and it's much more "mod-able"...ton's of add-on's to suit everyone's needs...I also though I'd keep FS2002 when I installed FS9...but soon, all that changed...I remember I still had FS2002 when Paul switched to FS2004...it was then that I was inspired by Paul, an experienced member here, that I said good-bye to FS2002...and his Uninstall...I still have the CD's though...somewhere...

For me it was realtively easy. Once I had fs2004 up and running and liked what I saw I sad a silent prayer to fs2002 and uninstalled it and never looked backed.
The one thing I hated about fs2002 was the way it showed clouds. No matter what upgrade you found they would look great at a distance but they had no depth to them they looked like a big sheet hanging in the air and it drove me crazy looking at them.
So when I saw the clouds in fs2004 it made the choice an easy one to make. 8)
