Bell 206B - problem with

The Bell 206B is listed as having a cruise speed of 115 Kts. but at about 85 kts it starts to shake and jump around so bad that I can hardly control it. By the time it gets to 95 kts its all over the place.

I have tried making a few changes to the aircraft cfg file and the .air file but so far have not been able to correct this problem.

Anybody know how to cure this?

If so, please let me know.

The default Bell 206B is unrealistic, and it's made by microsoft.

head over to hovercontrol.com and download one of their helis in the download list, much better ;)

OK - I've found a solution. Just go into the aircraft ",cfg" file and change the engine type from "3" to "5"

Thanks.

Thanks, Midnight_LS1 - yes, I've downloaded several of Jordan Moore's helicopters and thet do fly great. I note that his planes also suffer from the shakes at higher speeds though and I'm just waiting to try this fix on those.

B/T/W his Bell 412 works great and it has the engine as type 5 instead of 3 and it doesn't have the shakes.

I guess the engine type is what tells the simulator engine what type of aircraft is loaded (i.e. heli or fixed wing).
