Maybe I am posting this in the wrong spot.. But this is interesting.  My machine running FS9 gets between 20 to 25 fps.  Max the settings 20 to 25 fps,  lock the settings at 20 to 25 that is what you get,  lock the slider to unlimited, yep you get 20 t 25 fps.  Adjust the settings and you acctually will drop the frames by 5 or 10 fps.  I do know that fs will leave effects and small  details to achieve your framerate setting.  But if I max everything I have all the bells and whistles.. If I drop my settings It acctually slows my FS9.. Trust me I am not imagining this... I have messed with it for hours only to get same results.  Not complaining just found it interesting...
