707 turns like a PIG.
Yes, my 707 turns like a fully loaded 747. Is this normal? I would like to loosen up the stearing a little. Where in the air Cfg. do I change that? Thanks, Wildie.

Hi guys
I am not trying to start a major debate, but maybe the ole 707 was quite nimble compared to some bigger modern jets.

Try to find a video of the 'roll'. There should be some links. The one I have isn't working right now.
Flying at more than 400 miles per hour just 400 feet above the water, Johnston commenced a sudden ascent. The jet's swept-back wings spiraled as the 128-foot-long, 160,000 pound plane rolled, flying for a short time upside down. Then, for extra measure, Johnston performed a second barrel-roll.

Just a little input here.
Isn't a one-rate turn just dependant on the speed?
I mean think about it.... ;)
Yes, is is dependent on speed. If you make a 5* per second turn at 150kts, and I make a 5* per second turn at 300kts, my turning radius will be twice as large as yours.
