Add-on question

Postby Iant333 » Sun Feb 05, 2006 6:41 pm

I have a question as to whether addons (especially payware) can be tranferred to a new computer. I just sold my current computer and im getting my new one next week but im wondering if my payware add ons will still work if i put the aircraft folder gauges and effects on a disc and tranfer it to the new computer or do i have to re-buy them for the new one? thanks alot!!

I had no problem transferring my Flight One Pa 28 Archer and indeed when I upgraded from FS2002 to FS9 they even gave me the upgrade files.

Ian, always keep a backup of your original installation files, that way you can re-install them anytime you need ;)

Ian,

depends what kind of aircrafts you are talking about.

If it's PSS, then you'd need to download the latest from their website and run the installation using your email address and password you used at the time of purchase to confirm.

The same goes for PMDG products.

Because the top two I do know have a unique ID for each machine and the aircrafts will be disabled if piracy is suspected.

However with alphasim, it doesn't need to be confirmed, just install it like any other aircrafts.
