That will be a new way of asking for the NoCD patch. Sorry friend, but that is a taboo subject at SimV

1. Captain, if the problem is not entered into the technical logbook.........then the aircraft does not have a problem.
2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.

Ex-Pat is right as it would help in using illegal copies. I believe though that the originator of this thread only wanted to avoid putting the CD in the computer (which is sometimes annoying) but still uses a LEGAL copy.

The whole thing;
http://www.simviation.com/cgi-bin/yabb/ ... 1132347108
In a nutshell Microsoft asked serious FS sites to stop hosting the no-CD patch as it could help with the spread of pirate copies of FS. As a responsible site we agreed to this along with nearly all the other major FS sites.
So no no-CD patch around these parts!

Hi Jake...!
When, like me, you are retired and sit at your desk for 18 hours a day, 7 days a week, year after year, flying around the world with the flight simulator, you will very quickly realise how important it is not to risk damaging your

Reliable? Do you mean without 12 spies, 7 viruses and a couple of dialers per download? Oh, I forgot, not linked to adult sites as well?

LOL... ;D...!

Hi Colin... ;)...!

Every now and again I used to have to suffer the indignity of constantly taking out disk #4 to install or run sumfin' or other with another disk...

..and then re-insert disk#4 again, to start the flight sim....

Life is much too short for all this faffin' about, so I just click on Mr Googles little utility to automatically start-up my flight sim and leave disk #4 in my cosy drawer, all safely wrapped-up in cotton wool, without a single scratch upon its shiny surface...  8)...!
Sorted... ;)...!

I love little utilities which make life easier and less stressful... ;D...!

I just use the CD tray to support my cup of tea whilst I chuff around the world in my Cessna 152...:)...!
Cheers all...!

Fozzer you absolutely kill me. I wish we lived on the same continent so we could scream around on our motorcycles together. You just seem like you would be a blast to hang out with. You definately have the sharpest wit on SIMV.

Thanks for another good laugh.

Fozzer, if you go for the double drive option, you have a place for your cucumber sandwiches too, with the crusts cut off, of course ;D ;D
