Although I doubt it if this is the problem but you might want to try removing the panel file from the air craft and see if the problem goes away. If it does your problem is somewhere in that folder. If not the problem might be in the aircraft cfg file or the .Air file. Make sure the .Air file name in the aircraft cfg file is the same as the name of the .Air file in the aircraft's folder.
If you have AIRED or some other .air editor try to open the .Air file if you get an error when trying to open the air file then ther is a problem with the file. You might want to download it again.
Other than that I am at a loss I have never had that error before.

aircraft initialization failure happens mostly when the "sim=" line in the .cfg differs from the name of the .air file... (check for misspellings) ;)

It would help if you could post links to the pages these files are posted on. I don't see how a new panel could cause a problem if you deleted it.

If the T-34 has a DVC the gauges won't display correctly unless you transfer the entries from the original Panel.cfg.

...time to try the old "cure all" ...delete the fs9.cfg file and then try to start the sim. Back up your old one by renaming it or moving it somewhere safe...just in case..........commoner.

.....BTW...look here for it...and make hidden files available ............C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Application Data\Microsoft\FS9
