Anchors and GPS

Hi all.
I've been reading a lot about how wonderfull the flying can be in Alaska so decided to give it a shot. While flying across country I turned on the GPS and noticed some areas of water with pink anchor symbols on them. I've had a quick look at the learning center and it doesn't seem to mention them. I'm guessing they have something to do with float planes but having flown low over the areas there is nothing out of the ordinary about them.
If someone could let me know what the "Anchors" represent I would be very gratefull.

Cheers.

The anchors are seaports, but sadly, MS didn't model facilities for them ::)

Thanks Esselbach. I suspected as much. Does this mean you can start a flight from them (with a float plane of coarse ?;D)

Yes, you can create a flight at a seaport if you know the name and/or identifier, but I don't think you can select a parking spot, only the 'runway' ;)

If you used a PBY you could use afcad and make a parking spot at a near by beach for it than taxi into the water for take off. 8)

Great idea Gary! And I have a nice PBY which will do nicely.
