In one thread or another, someone was remarking that his computer was doing all it could to handle the 4G of add-on aircraft he was running. So I thought I'd check my aircraft folder.
8.94G
Plus, I'm running 3G of payware scenery in the Kanto Plain region (Tokyo area) alone, plus several payware and freeware airports, new sunset textures, new taxiway textures, new road textures, loads and loads of AI traffic (most of PAI's commercial, military, cargo, two set of DC-3s, my own traffic), etc., etc.
I tried Ashar's Perfect Water, but it was killing my FPS.
So how about you guys? How much are you packing into your FS?

I've got about 50 or so addon aircraft, and a few dozen scenery packs.
I know it's not much, but I tend to only fly a few aircraft around Alaska.

i recently did a wipe of my hard drive - which was designated the Game drive for that reason.
23.6 used
4.28 free
now only 2.36gb if it is train sim, 840mb is 4x4 off road, and 1.2gb is emergency backup files. so the rest is flight sim
thats a total of: 19.2gb of addons.
used to be in the 40gb range...

thats just the size of FS itself...

don't worry, usually it's not about how many can you shove down FS' throat, it's about the quality, higher quality aircraft, like anything POSKY (proj. opensky) or similar takes up more room.
thats usually why. oh yeah and payware aircraft, scenery, and whatnot make up a huge chunk of our folder sizes.

My entire FS folder is only 3.51 Gb, 1.53 is aircraft. But considering that I fly golden wings exclusively, then almost ALL of my sim is add-on. ;)

And yet we buy hard drives with more room than the US National Archives.
