Throttles unlocking problem

Have had this happen several times before on final. Coming in on final with just  A/T on around 3 or 4 miles out I take off  the A/T and then  when trying to control the throttles manually the A/C veers either left or right, checking the throttle quadrant 1 or 2 are not locked with the others but in a different position. Trying F1 or F4 to force them back in sync does not work and nothing else I try will work. It does not happen often but enough to be annoying. Is there a fix for this problem?

Hit E for engine and 1, 2, 3, 4, (or how many engines you have) Hit the numbers quickly, doesnt always work but usually does, this is a problem thats been around for ages, dunno what causes it, but I've landed with 3 engines full throttle a few times...... Cheers, Gunny

Happens to me quite often. Hitting E & then 1,2,3,4 used to work but doesn't anymore - now I have to pause the sim & re-select the aircraft, that sorts it out just in time for me to crash.

Cheers,

TSC.

When it happens again we will try the suggestions. Because it happens on different types of multi-engined A/C it must be an inherent fault in FS9. If it is something common to all aircraft could it be in the FS9.cfg? For me to try and figure that out is the same as a pig looking at the insides of a watch only the pig would be smarter. :D ???

The only time I have had this happen was with a third party plane alising a default panel.
I found out by rather than using the alias statement in the panel cfg file of the third party aircraft if you copy the entire panel over the problem goes away.
A lot of third party aircraft have the following entry in the panel folder (alais b747)
which means it is using the panel and gauges from the b747 it sometimes gets lost because the actual panel is not in the aircrafts panel folder.
If the plane you are having trouble with is using another planes panel make a copy of the planes panel into the other planes panel folder and overwrite. 8)
If you are still confused send me a private message and I will help you out. 8)

Most often this problem is the symptom of a misbehaving gauge
sending continuous "KEY" events. These events tend to interrupt
and multi-key user input such as "E" + "1" + "2" etc....

As a result, FS9 only see's the "E" and defaults to engine 1 only
control.

A fix for this problem has be around for a few months but I
forgetthe name of the gauge that accomplishes this. I believe
it is a Doug Dowson creation.

I generally just dive into the panel.cfg and find the offending
gauge, notify the provider of the package, and then either
fix or replace that gauge....but that's just me, the retired engineer :)
