How to turn off GROUND POX. WARNING

Hello!

I've got an A320, which I enjoy flying a lot but on approach the GPWS almost always activates with "TERRAIN, PULL UP!", which is very irritating.

Ive checked in the "sound.cfg" and gone through all the sound files but found nothing. Where is it and is it possible to turn it off!

Cheers!

You might want to try looking for the sound in the  main FS SOUND folder.
The sound comes from a guage in the plane. Not sure if you can turn it off or not, Or if removing the sound will create a problem. But you can always use the Q key to kill the sound. 8)

Being a Low and Slow flyer its been a long while since I've used GPWS (FS2002?), but in general this is what I recall.

If this is a visible gauge on the panel you may be able to manually deactivate the gauge.

If you have established your landing configuration, gear down, flaps set, speed, etc, before you reach the warning altitude, the GPWS should auto-disable.

If you wish to eliminate the gauge, look in the panel.cfg file and comment out the 'gaugexx=' line(s) for the GPWS gauge, i.e- ;gaugexx= or //gaugexx=

You might also take another look at the documents that came with the a/c to see if they discuss the use of the GPWS gauge.
