I have always set anti aliasing for FS9 through the 'display properties -> hardware' tab in game...
...but that doesn't seem to work any more...
anyone know how to fix? I really don't want to set it through the graphics card, becuase then I woudl have to change it each time i tried to load up a new game...

Try going into your video card settings and turning on anti aliasing there

LOL! Did you even read it through?

Try deleting the config.

Strange.... I have the anti-aliasing and antisotropic filtering on my Geforce turned up full just as a matter of ease.
I have no idea how that works on Radeons...

I did. I just never worry about the anti aliasing within FS9. It's not that good anyway

I go into my video card settings and turn it on there. It works much better

Yes, turn it off in FS9 and set it with your card. I had it on in FS9 and it looked like crap, then I turned it off and boosted the card settings and there was no aliasing.

No matter where I set the AA, and AF I still get jaggies. Of course my card isnt really state of the art by todays standards, it is an FX5200

So youre saying its better to turn AA and AF off in FS, and boost the settings on the card control panel?

Hmm...up until now, the exact opposite has been true for me...
...I'll try deleting the cfg and fiddle around with it alittle more
Thanks,
Jeff

I do too. The option within FS will only give about 4X AA, I use 8X AA. It's just that he wrote he
didn't want to do that.
