I have a nice freeware aircraft, which does not have a radio stack how do I get the defalt FS2004 stack to apper in this aircraft at the command of e.g Shift+4?

I think I will have to alter the Aircraft CFG File?

Any ideas :)

You can add any pop-up window like the Radio Stack or GPS to a panel by editing Panel.cfg. My Add GPS tute explains the basic principle. http://www.simviation.com/lair/AddGPS.htm

Bear in mind that this was written for FS2002. The gauge names might be different in FS9 so copy the Panel.cfg entries of an FS9 default panel. Please take a backup copy of Panel.cfg before attempting to edit it.

Yeah it is actually the panel.cfg that needs edited and not the aircraft.cfg...if you can't get it figured out, or need help let me know which aircraft it is and I will see what I can do with it  ;D

Also there is a freeware program called CFGEDIT that makes adding gauges a snap. It will not handle XML gauges though If you want to do that you have to purchase the payware version called FS Panel Studio
It is a souped up version of cfgedit.
It is great for adding new windows or gauges. and it takes all of the guess work out of it as you drag the new gauge exactly where you want it save the file and you got it. 8)
