I wanted confirmation that the DC3 does NOT have a transponder as individuals on VATSIM are telling me that it does. I advised them that it does NOT after I myself checked thoroughly for a dial within the comm stack. I was told repeatedly that "it's right in front of you, pilot!" ::) I love the DC3 and fly it often to strange and far away places. Thanks for the replies.

The original panel of M$ respects the historical DC3's of the first half of last century and does not have a transponder, but maybe the people on VATSIM harping at you use other, more in sync with times panels.
After all I find hard to believe that the few DC3's that still fly today have still to go through a avionic upgrade tha consists at least of a transponder.

A nice panel upgrade you can find on
http://www.douglasdc3.com/ together to a very needed flight dynamics upgrade.

Also bear in mind that despite the lack of a physical transponder on the default DC3 panel, ATC will give you a squawk code when flying it...

...and by the way (it only struck me now) has not VATSIM its own transponder integrated inside the connection software?

Maybe those people meant for you to use
that transponder.
