I can't fly!

hi all,

i have downloaded the aircrafts (with their flight plans ofcorse) from projectai. i now have a traffic of real world airlines with real timetables. i have tried flying these aircrafts myself after setting suitable panels and sounds to some, but they do not function properly, for example the ERJ-145 doesnt fly til it reaches its maximum altitude, also, the 757, 767, 777s do not leave the ground, they keep running in the runway!

Can anyone tell me what should i do to make them fly as the real thing (i.e. the erj to fly to its maximum altitude) or make them function like the original FS aircrafts (landmark, soar..etc)?

many thanks,

Hi amaru. A similar question cropped up in the FS2002 forum recently & I will ask you the same thing. Why would you wish to fly these aircraft?

The PAI aircraft are specially designed with basic visual models & optimized to use as AI traffic. They were never intended to be Player flyable & would need considerable modification to perform realistically. You would be better off finding proper flyable versions of these aircraft to fly yourself.

Amaru you can't use those models, some of them are awful. ok -it is an easy way to get hold of a lot of aircraft in one go, but unfortunately it has it's problems as they don't fly too well. I recommend you plough through the "best of the best recommended by our members" thread in the sticky on the top of the forum and see some of the best aircraft to fly there and downlaod them.

Take my tip & download AirEd from the Design section. Open the AIR files of the PAI aircraft in AirEd & change the Aircraft Type from 0 to 2. This will make them into proper unflyable AI drones by removing them from the selection menu so you won't be tempted to fly them.
