How to change panning speed

After my recent reformat and reinstall I can't remember where to change the panning speed when you are looking out of the VC.  I also don't remember what I changed the setting to. If someone could give me a good number that makes panning around more realistic that would be great!

..........Modify the "pan_rate" in the [CONTROLS] section of the fs9.cfg file, try to set it at 900 instead of 400..or do whatever you want with it...experiment....commoner ;)

Thanks, I have looked through my config file 1000 times and couldn't  see it. I must be getting old.

Are you looking in the FS9.cfg file, or your individual aircraft.cfg files?

It will be in the FS9.cfg file ;)
