This may not be the right place buuuutttttt.... how do you activate the reverse thrust on airplanes?? Is it a thing that  certain designers put in and is controlled by there appointed key OR is it a default key??

Thanks for the help

On most AC it's press and hold F2.

Also, throttles must be at IDLE before F2 will engage the
thrust reversers and they must also be modeled in the
aircrafts .air file I believe.

Yes. Try it on the Learjet and the Beech 250.

Not the Cessna 172! :) I fly this one and If I ever see any of you put on a thrust reverser for this aircraft, I will be upset... I HAD TO PUSH MY PLANE MANUALLY WHEN I CORNERED MYSELF!!! AND SO SHOULD YOU :)

Er.... sorry? Thrust reversers on a prop plane... pretty hard to image huh.... or maybe it's a language issue, some joke with words I didn't catch?  ::)  :P

Most Turbo-props (Pilatus PC-12, King Air 350) have reverse thrust... ;)

all Turbo-Props have reverse thrust.

In a propellered aircraft,   the blade are reverse or rotates in a certain angle to obtain the reversed thrust.

yes.  Turbo props have it, but not ALL, most do tho.  Press and hold F2, and youll hear it go into reverse.

Sorry to steal the topic, but does anyone know if you can make the CH Yoke simulate reverse thrust?

It is just a question of key assignment. I have the CH Throttle Quadrant. After trying and having no joy in getting the actual levers to use the lower detent as thrust reverse, I just assigned F2 to one of the toggle switches. Key assigment is key assignment, it does not matter whether it is on a yoke or a quadrant.

Using Fsuipc you can get a lower detent for your throttle lever.  Some turbo props like the Jetstream 31 only have beta which is zero thrust, but most have reverse.
