My biggest grip with FS9 is the weather. I mean, how can you be in a zero visabilty snow storm at ground but be able to see the airport from FL100 and 5 miles away? Adding better ground textures as well would be good but alot of great enhancements are already available now.

Other than that, there's not much to do. The present freeware AC are fantastic, some of them you see in the screenshots look like photos now.

yah that thing with the weather is really erratating and another thing is you can see the fog level if your in the mountain like it comes to a dead stop it would be nice if it was a little less defined and yes there are lots of great things to download for this game infact thats what im doing right now

The Almighty Pete is right.

Besides, we haven't had one of these in a while. So I'll start.

It be better that M$ focus more on improving the AI and the ATC options.

Ah sorry, I thought we had enough of those...I didn't realise that this member is new...well....anyway, here's what I think MS should do...improved weather, improved AI, better terrain mesh, realistic airports all around the world....not just in the states....sorry about that Pete :-[ :-[

No im not a new member, but like I said, I stay really busy and havent had much FS time the last several months. Im not an every day poster and dont have a clue whats been talked about. Excuse me for asking. I figured a Flightsim forum would be the place to ask. Guess I figured wrong. Have a good day.

Maybe we need a sticky on a subject such as this . . .

As for the modifications, I do believe we are decidedly going thirsty in the land of plenty.

MSFS has come a loooooonng way since it was first introduced.  To get a good idea of this, go look at the video Flightsim History - A Video Snapshot.  It will give you some idea of just how much work has gone into creating a beautiful simulator that is almost unlimited.  (The video is 34 Mb)

I, for one, am happy with FS9 for now, but will be very interested to see what they can do for FS10.  But if it comes to getting a new machine just to run it, you can forget all that noise . . . ;)

Happy Holidays,

Locke
