I was wondering how i can edit my own scenery easily (just simple things). Does anybody know of any tutorials or help?

Don't think there's any 'easy' way for that; you might look in the Design forum here under Scenery & Panel Design for more info. It helps to have some photo-editing and repainting experience, and you need programs like Martin Wright's DXTbmp software as well as photo software. Depends on what you want to do.

You could try downloading E-Z Landclass Ver. 2. You need MS Excel to get it to work, but that's the beauty of it - you simply add numeric values to cells on an Excel spreadsheet (each cell represents an approx. 1 km x 1 km area) to effect changes in your landscape. Deserts can become brushland, forests can be made into cities. There is a bit more to it of course but it is generally quite easy to get the hang of. This utility will not change land elevation, only what's on top of it.
