Does anyone know if Teamspeak works efficiently with a 56k dial up modem, and what other general problems or advantages Teamspeak offers. I'm considering getting "wired", and would appreciate any advice you could pass on. Thanks in advance...Clipper ;D

Hi...

I'm not trying to be a smartie.. but running Teamspeak, along with whatever other game/sim you plan to run with it, is way too much for dial-up. First-person shooters are out of the question,,  and even a multi-player FS9 session of more than two players is beyond 56K bandwidth. I've tried it and it's unreliable at best.. laggy to boot.

If it's just you and a friend, it will run "ok", but expect to lose animation on the other planes.

Teamspeak itself is a great, bandwidth-friendly program.. IF there's bandwidth to be had. On a decent DSL or Cable hook-up.. you don't even know it's there, resource-wise.

Thanks a lot for your answer Brett. I'll have to wait for high speed to reach my neck of the woods. Brett I do mp a lot and although a bit laggy at times, for the most part a very satisfying experience.  :)

I used to have dial-up, and could fly on IVAO, and have Teamspeak open without any problems at all.... ;D
